Project Summary

The water and sanitation sector is not short of new and emerging technologies, there is hardly any technology that has been adopted into national strategies, nor taken up by private enterprises. Noticeable is minimal contribution to the MDGs. One key constraint identified is the Lack of ability to take new technologies to scale effectively.

The WASHTech project is being implemented in 3 African countries; Uganda, Burkinafaso and Ghana

What WASHTech seeks to do

WASHTech seeks to address the problem through action research to assess the potential and sustainability of a wide range of technologies and design strategies for scaling up.
