1st Northern Regional learning Forum
Water and Sanitation actors in Northern Uganda face unique challenges ranging from salty basins to grass thatched housing that limit access to safe and clean water as well as promotion of household rainwater harvesting technologies which would curb the water scarcity in the region.
To address these issues, a learning event was held from 28th to 29th March 2012 at Acholi Inn Hotel, Gulu. The forum featured four learning journeys across the Lango and Acholi sub-regions, allowing participants to explore practical solutions and share experiences.
The forum, that was held at Acholi Inn Hotel Gulu was initiated by Technical Support Unit 2 and Uganda Uganda Water and Sanitation NGO Network with support from Triple-S Uganda, Care International, World Vision International, Catholic Relief Services, Network for Water and Sanitation Uganda, African Medical Foundation, Joy drilling deliverance church, CARITAS Gulu and Drop in the Bucket. It brought together over 70 players comprised by District Water Officers and NGO's under Uganda water and Sanitation NGO NETWORK.
